Our Products & Inventions

We build practical inventions that solve real-world problems. Many ideas stay as sketches — a few earn their way into prototypes through field testing, iteration, and fine tuning.

Our design principles are simplicity, durability, safety, and value

If you’ve got a stubborn operational gap or a problem that doesn’t suit off-the-shelf products,
tell us. We’re always keen to hear what people are dealing with and what “better” would look like. We offer a Discovery & Options Assessment to further explore and support various projects or initiatives.

PRODUCTS

Urban Road Passive Sampler (URPS) Range

For consistent stormwater collection & sampling

For consistent stormwater collection & sampling

What it does:

Passive, in-sump early-event stormwater sampling (no power; no permanent install)

Why it’s used:

Sampling when timing/access/safety makes grab sampling impractical

Best for:

Screening, investigations, and early-event (first flush) capture

Next step:

• Home preparation of biltong, droëwors, jerky, and similar air-dried meats
• Drying fruit, herbs, and other low-temperature foods
• Enthusiast and hobby use (including hunters and small-batch food makers)
• Indoor domestic use for clean, quiet operation and with appropriate ventilation available

• Emergency and resilience-focused heating scenarios
• Outdoor heating in sheltered settings
• Controlled heating where electricity is unavailable
• Potential secondary use as a cooking heat source (under exploration)

Advanced prototype (pre-production refinement underway)

Prototype in development

INVENTIONS
/ COMING SOON

Alongside our current products, we’re actively developing a pipeline of new concepts — some exploratory, others nearing production.

These selected previews give a small glimpse into the range of problems we’re tackling and the long-term potential of the work underway.

The Safely Efficient Fuel Heater (SEFH)

Status:

Prototype in development

What it
is:

What it is:

A compact alcohol-fuelled heater designed to deliver sustained, efficient heat from a small fuel volume, with a strong focus on safety and predictable behaviour.

Why it
should
exists:

Why it exists:

Many portable heaters are inefficient, complex, or unsafe in practical use. SEFH explores whether a simpler alcohol-based system can deliver high heat with little fuel - all whilst keeping emissions down and improving user safety.

Intended
use:

Intended use:

• Outdoor heating in sheltered settings

• Emergency or resilience-focused heating scenarios

• Controlled heating where electricity is unavailable

• Potential dual-use as a cooking heat source (under exploration)

Current stage:

Early-stage prototyping and performance exploration. Current work focuses on burn efficiency, heat output, runtime per fuel volume, and passive safety behaviour.

Note:

This concept is intended as an outdoor heater. While safety features are being explored, it is not designed for use in confined or unventilated spaces and should be treated with the same care as any open flame or combustion device.

The CureDry Box

Status:

Advanced prototype (pre-production refinement underway)

What it is:

A compact, purpose-built drying cabinet for controlled air-drying of meat, fruit, herbs, and similar foods — prioritising clean airflow, consistent drying, and long-term durability in a modern, home-friendly form.

Why it exists:

Many home drying solutions are bulky, fragile, visually dated, or difficult to clean and control. The CureDry Box explores a simpler, better-designed alternative — one that delivers reliable drying performance with minimal fuss, noise, or maintenance.

What it
is:

Intended use:

Why it
should

Intended
use:

Current stage:

Proven functional prototype with ongoing refinement focused on airflow optimisation, user experience, and production-ready detailing.

Note:

This is a food-drying appliance intended for low-temperature air-drying only. Final specifications, power options, and configurations may evolve as refinement continues.
